How to get to Bimini from Miami and Fort Lauderdale

The only scheduled passenger ferry to Bimini leaves from Port Everglades, Terminal 21, in Fort Lauderdale. There is no ferry from the port of Miami: if you are staying in Miami or Miami Beach, drive 30–45 minutes north to Port Everglades. Check-in opens 3 hours before departure and the terminal doors close 1 hour before (for the 9:00 AM sailing, from 6:00 to 8:00 AM): see the check-in and boarding guide.

The ship is the Jaume II, an 81-meter fast ferry for up to 655 passengers with a snack bar, duty-free shop and Economy or Economy Premium seats. It has a vehicle deck, but on the Florida – Bahamas routes it only carries cargo: passengers cannot bring their cars. See every sailing date in the Bimini ferry schedule 2026 and 2027.
